I am a photographer, image maker and visual storyteller currently based in London. Born in Stockport in the North West of England, I graduated in the late 90s from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK with a BA in Photography and moved to London where I have worked in the creative industry for over 15 years commissioning and making images for subjects spanning: art, fashion, lifestyle and culture at the BBC and Sotheby’s where I worked as Head of Photography. Clients include Victoria Beckham, Paul Smith and Margaret Howell.
Talking to Strangers: a photo series developed from the basic need to feel connected during a time of forced isolation during lockdown. Wanting to dissolve my fears and the fears of others that were felt from COVID-19 by connecting with strangers I encounter on my daily walk in Hackney. Moving away from the image of living in a dystopian nightmare to reveal a sense of hope and joy.
Outer: a photo series using the coat to explore the relationships we form with the clothes that shape our identity.
Whatsinyourbedroom.com – a photo journal exploring peoples relationship with their most personal space, the bedroom from 2009 – 2016.
Featured publications: Proper Magazine, The Independent, The Telegraph, Stylist, Sotheby’s Magazine, Oh Comely.
